CEBU CITY, Jan. 29, 2016 – Imus Bishop Reynaldo Evangelista underscored the virtue of strength in weakness in the Morning Praise of the sixth day of the International Eucharistic Congress here in the Pavilion, Cebu, City.Speaking before the 12,000 delegates, both foreign and local, the Bishop, consoled the terminally ill and those carrying seemingly insurmountable burdens with the message of today's reading.
“In circumstances that we can’t be healed from a particular sickness, as we struggle to seek healing, we would be looking for the strength wherever we can find it. But the thorn in the flesh remains.”
He pointed to Jesus as the source of strength in weakness.
“It is St. Paul’s living experience of the cross that shows how God reveals himself through Christ and how he will save humanity. It is in the poor, the sick, and the rejected the God’s power is seen most clearly ...
